David is Svante's VP of Europe & the Middle East and is based in London, UK. He leads Svante’s regional expansion and deployment of its next-generation sorbent-based carbon capture technology. Before joining Svante in January 2025, David was Head of Capital Markets at Aker Carbon Capture, working with financial stakeholders and corporate partners across the CCUS value chain. He also contributed to corporate strategy and development, including the joint venture with SLB finalized in 2024. David joined Aker Carbon Capture in August 2021 after two decades in investment research at leading investment banks in London & New York. From 2014 to 2016, he was Head of Industry & Investor Relations at Aker Solutions. In finance, he covered the chemicals and global energy industries, and his most recent role was Head of Equity Research for Europe at HSBC in London. David holds an MA in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
